What size and thickness can you shear?

Our guillotine shears sheet up to 3 metres long and around 6.5mm thick, with a programmable back-stop for accurate, repeatable cut sizes.

Is shearing better than laser cutting?

For straight cuts and cutting sheet to size, shearing is quicker and more cost-effective than laser — there’s no programming or nesting time. For profiles, holes and shapes, laser or punching is the way. We use whichever suits the job.

Can you saw bar, tube and section?

Yes — we cut solid bar, tube, box section and beam to length on our circular saws and automatic bandsaw, up to around 300mm capacity, square or mitred.

Do you cut material to size for collection or delivery?

We do — many customers use us to cut sheet, bar and section to size ready for their own work, and we can deliver or have it ready to collect.

How accurate are your cut lengths?

The guillotine’s back-stop and the saw stops give consistent, repeatable lengths across a batch, so multiple parts come out identical.

Which materials can you shear and saw?

Mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium sheet on the guillotine; bar, tube and section in the same materials on the saws.

Can you cut and then fold or fabricate the parts?

Yes — cutting to size is usually the first step, and we punch, fold, weld and finish in-house, so you get the finished part from one place.
